Elizabeth Fahrer, LPC

Hi, I’m Elizabeth Fahrer, LPC, and have years of experience helping teens and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and motivation to change. If you are feeling stuck, or unable to navigate major life changes independently, I can help. The problems you are experiencing today are often based in past trauma, and issues that have not been resolved, or healed.

We can work together to heal those wounds, helping you move forward to have the life you want and deserve, with compassion and kindness. My training includes Trauma Specialist Certification through Rutgers University, and additional Post-Masters Trauma certification with a direct focus on how to help my clients with practical skills and solutions. Strong clinical training helps me be attuned to the needs of my clients, allowing me to respectfully and skillfully assist you in finding ways to feel less anxious and more inclined to engage in life transitions.

I frequently collaborate with schools, families, local professionals, and colleagues to develop plans and find answers for the problems at hand. You’ll learn concrete and useful coping skills with me to assist you in dealing with those problems, as well. My office is a supportive, inclusive environment for individuals and families from diverse backgrounds.

Knowledge of multi-cultural backgrounds and needs helps me to provide effective individual and family therapy for a wide variety of people in a sensitive and effective manner. Techniques such as motivational interviewing, dialectical behavior therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and trauma informed care can be applied to match the needs of any given counseling session.
